FREE MONEY!!! State Arts Organizations help bring quality music, dance and visual art to communities all across this country. Funding comes from State legislatures as well as the National Endowment for the Arts. Aaron is a member of two state touring arts programs, the Kansas Arts Commission and the Missouri Arts Council. Both of these organizations have funding available in order to bring programs to your non-profit organizations. These could include schools, universities, local arts organizations as well as other not for profit organizations. If your organization operates in either Kansas or Missouri there is money available for you to provide a music program or a residency for your organization. Check below for your specific state arts organization.

The Kansas Touring Program (KTP) brings together Kansas performing artists with Kansas audiences and encourages greater access to quality performing arts events. The Kansas Arts Commission supports formal concerts, performances for young audiences, workshops, master classes and other events by KTP artists that take place in Kansas communities.
Aaron Fowler has been a Kansas Touring Artist since 1998. Arts organizations and schools in Kansas have increased their program dollars by applying for funding with the Kansas Arts Commission. If you are a not for profit organization you are eligible for up to 40% of the program cost to be paid by the Kansas Arts Commission. This means that communities, schools and universities (outside Wichita, KS.) can request up to 40% of the cost of the program to be paid by the Kansas Arts Commission. You need to apply early as funds are limited, but this is a great way to increase your dollars.

When the Missouri Arts Council was created in 1965, one of its primary charges was to bring the arts to all of the people in Missouri. Through MAC's Missouri Touring Program (MTP), communities across the state have the opportunity to see a variety of high-quality performing artists that might not otherwise be available. Organizations select from more than 50 artists on the MAC touring roster, in disciplines ranging from puppet theater to Mariachi music. The program is a vital link to individual performers, since funds from MTP partially cover artistic fees. Through the MTP, presenters apply to MAC for producer fee assistance for producers (performing artists) on the MTP roster. These artists are selected through a competitive process by a citizen review panel.
Aaron has been a Touring Artist with the Missouri Arts Council since 1999. Contact Aaron or the Missouri Arts Council if you are interested in a residency for your school or organization.
